Caramel Brownies

My tech teacher in high school made these and they were AMAZING.

Ingredients

• 3/4 cup melted margarine
• 2/3 cup evaporated milk
• 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
• 14 oz. Brach’s caramels
• 1 German chocolate cake mix.

Instructions

1. Melt together caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Keep warm. Mix together melted margarine, cake mix, and 1/3 cup evaporated milk. beat for 2 minutes. Spread 1/2 mixture into a greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 6 minutes.
2. Let it cool for 2 minutes. Carefully pour the warm caramel mixture over the baked layer. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the caramel. Drop teaspoons of batter over the chocolate chips. bake for 17-21 minutes. Allow to cool for caramel to set up completely.
